Duplomatic tool turett

Post by black8898 » Mon 15 Mar , 2010 13:55 pm

I have a Denford Cyclone (1992) serial #CY14111A , It is fitted with a Duplomatic 8 position tool turett the problem is that when I select a tool manually say tool position number 5 the turett stops at position number 4 in other words it will allways stop one position short of what I have selected yet when machining it seems to work fine going to the correct position , my question is can anything be done so that if I select say tool number 1 it will go to that position and not to position number 8 ???

Could the disc be bolted on in the wrong position?

Not sure if it will fit in 45 degree or 90 degree increments?

:dumbfounded:

If it were bolted on in the wrong position then surely that would also make it go to the wrong position when machining ?? also I am sure that it was working perfectly when the machine was last used October of last year and then the spindle drive inverter blew up and have only recently bought a new one to replace old unit ,

You need to check the diagnostics.

453.4 Tool select switch starts at binary 0

Make sure diagnostic 453 bit 4 is set to a 1
