Cyclone Coolant Tank Sprung A Leak

The coolant tank on my cyclone has sprung a leak in all four corners where the feet mount and it looks like the welding has started to crack.
I know someone on this board had the same problem some time ago but i cant find the post so does anyone know if it would be ok to weld all four corners up with the machine shut down and no power to it or would i be better off disconecting the boards etc?
Iv welded machines before that have had circuit boards in without causing any damage but im a little worried that the boards on the cyclone may be sensative and end up causing damage to them but dont fancy having to strip the whole machine down unless i really have to just to weld these up.
Any advice and info would be most appreciated on this subject please?

Isn't the cyclone electronics in a seperate black box with just a couple of umbilical connectors to disconnect ?
I just wouldn't risk welding with the electronics connected to the same earth that the welder is clipped to:

The control for the cyclone were allways fitted in the cabinet bolted to the back of the machine. The transformer box is then seperate & sits on the floor & is attached by the 2 harting 16 pin connectors.

I would have thought that if you physicaly disconnect the mains supply from the machine you will be OK.

Make sure the welder has a good earth.

The live an Neutral should be seperate to the earth and as long as they are not connected there should not be a problem.
