triac vmc (1993) software

Post by Ahmad » Thu 08 Nov , 2012 14:04 pm

hi

The university has a triac vmc purchased in 1993, it hasnt been in comission for a while and i would like to get it working again. i dont have any of the manuals or software for the machine and i am learning how to use it from scratch. where can i get the software and is it possible to use a 2D or 3D modelling system such as mecsoft to generate the G-code?

will it be possible to connect a modern day PC such as an i5 or p4 to the rs232 port and run the equipment from there

thanks

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.
