SOLIDWORKS TO QUICKTURN 2D

Post by kokotis » Thu 02 Dec , 2021 11:29 am

Good morning,

the official seller that provided the lathe (micro turn pro) to my university told them that it is possible to enter a solidworks design directly into the opperating system of the lathe. I have been trying to figure out how it can be done for a week now. Can someone provide me some instructions such as the type of file the solid works design has to be saved as, and the procedure after that ?

Than you in advance !

Hi,

If you wanted to export to the lathe directly from solid works you would have to post process the file within solid works.

If you dont have a post processor then you would have to create one.

The information required is available on the forum.
