LINE ANGLES

Post by MAX THE MILLER » Fri 27 Nov , 2020 14:00 pm

I've been experimenting with the unlicensed version of QuickTURN 2D Design.

If I look at the properties of a line drawn parallel to the X axis its angle is given as 3.54331.

If I look at the properties of a line drawn parallel to the Z axis its angle is given as 7.08661, which is twice the previous figure.

The angles clearly aren't in degrees or radians, so what units are they in? Is there a setting which can be changed to give the angle in degrees?

Thanks.

I think I get it.

What the software has done is to take 90 degrees, call it 90 millimetres and convert that to inches.

90mm = 3.54331inches.

Looks clearly wrong to me.

Does anyone know whether this works correctly in the licenced version?

Hi Max. You are correct, the angle in degrees was being converted as though it was from mm to inches. This has now been corrected in the latest version 1.34 which can be downloaded from the website. Having a license or not won't make a difference.

Thanks for that.

I've downloaded the latest version and it works fine.

Max.
