starting a line inside the billet

Post by Weeden007 » Thu 20 Oct , 2011 23:27 pm

hi, Is it possible to draw the part inside the billet i.e. start the line at z:-15mm? it seems to allways start from z: 0
I have a 2 op job that i want to turn around in the chuck and i want to face off the material that was in the chuck and then do some boring.

cheers
Andy

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Starting from Z0 is fixed into the software to keep things from getting too complicated.
If you're saying that the jobo is 15mm shorter when turned around, why not use 2 work offsets where the Z differs by 15mm ?
