Cut file stopping

Post by Mike Clements » Mon 07 May , 2007 8:16 am

Hi
We are still getting going on our VR V5 Mill in Townsville as part of the F1 in schools challenge.
We have run NC files in the past - no problem, but now the NC file stops on the 14th line and the start button greys out.
By hitting stop go a few times I can get the program to start again but it only runs for about 10 more lines before feezing again.
There is no error message, the spindle keeps turning, but the router head does not move to new locations despite being further into the cutfile.
I would appreciate any ideas

Many thanks
Mike Clements

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

The start button shouls grey out when its already running..

It sounds like your having the problems we had a while back with the firmware on the control card, the solution (as long as its not a Legacy machine)....

- download the latest version of vr milling
- uninstall the current version
- install the new verison
- install EasyUpgrader from the CD

run EasyUPgrader with the machine power on and connected and this will (hopefully) upgrade the firmware to get rid of the problem !
