Denford Triac with ATC

Post by jim the fish » Sun 28 Jan , 2007 14:51 pm

Want to take of the Automatic Tool Changer and the Pnumatics off my Triac mill. How do I get past the start up datum procedure. At present the ATC needs to be part of the start up sequence. A signal goes to the Main board electronics that the ATC is ready before the slides start datuming.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Without knowing anything about the older machines, I would guess you can fool the control board into thinking the ATC is there, maybe by linking a signal high or low.

daveimurray may know more - I think he has retrofitted similar equipment, so would know about the signals used - it may not be a simple case of pulling up or down a signal.

mrmagoo may also be able to tell us if there are any parameters / options which would turn off the toolchanger.

for a start the air pressure switch will need linking out - I know it won't reference without the air holding the ram up (there's probably another switch there)

But as to what happens when you come to a toolchange.....?
