I get script error when running VR Milling Tutorials
When running the tutorials which guide you through setting up the machine and cutting a test piece, I get script error and there are blank images with a red cross in them

A script error, or the ShowMe button being missing is an indication that Macromedia Flash is not installed on the system and/or javascript is disabled under Internet settings.
The tutorials are Compiled HTML files (*.CHM) which basically means its like a web page and uses Internet Explorer to view the content. They require javascript and Flash to be installed in order to work correctly
Download and install macromedia flash from here:
https://www.macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/
An oldish version is also on the VR Milling CD-ROM under d:\Flash Player
Also look at your Internet explorer settings to enable Javascript (Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced)

Hi Graham,
I've done all of the above & still get the error when clicking on the "do it now" button.
"object does not support this property or method"

It must be a class registration issue -
can you check this registry key exists and has the same values:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-shockwave-flash]
"Extension"=".swf"
"CLSID"="{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}"
The above class ID number should appear in a number of places in the registry, if flash is installed.
BTW - are you accessing the tutorials from the Help menu inside VRMilling ?

Just found this technical note on the Adobe website:
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgeb ... d=tn_19091
Looks like you could try to installing Flash Player 9.0.16.0 to overcome the problem

I don't really know what else to suggest
Can you attach some screenshots, and show the full error message you are getting.
It all points to flash (*.swf) files not being allowed to run on your browser.
Try this shockwave and flash test page:
