"Advanced" option?

"Advanced" option?

In the "Offsets / Tooling" drop down menu there's an option "Advanced" which can be ticked and unticked.

Can anybody tell me what this option does?

I can answer my own question. Selecting "advanced" gives additional options in the drop down menu.
