VR Milling Access Violation Address 005c172F
I have been looking at a problem which is happening on one of our laptops when trying to get the software to connect to the VR milling machine, upon putting the code in it comes up with a Access Violation Address 005c172F in VRmilling.exe. I have tried it on various same spec machines and it works fine, also tried to reinstall the software and done a Memory scan to test the RAM all is fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does this problem occur when trying to connect to the real machine or
the Virtual VR machine ?
Also, try the latest version of the software (check here for the version 2 or version 5 current software : https://www.website.denford.ltd.uk/suppo ... -downloads )
Software and PC incompatabilty arises all the time and we try to fix them whenever we can, so its always worth trying the latest version.

This happened in some previous (to v5.13) versions of VR Milling when the machine couldn't be found via USB or RS232 connection.
This problem has been fixed and will now display a message if a machine could not be found.
If you are using the USB link, then it could be that the Baldor USB driver has not been installed properly. If you have another USB port, try connecting to that one - windows should then ask you to install the Baldor USB driver again - its located on the the VR milling CD under the \USB folder
I'll need to know more about the machine, and software versions if this doesn't help.
