Spindle not rotating- Vertical Router

Post by qegs » Mon 09 Mar , 2009 17:23 pm

when using the vertical router, the spindle is not switching on. I have tried to switch it on via the control panel but the dial icon is not showing. All other function of the machine are good, ie homing, moving x,y & z via a .fnc file. I have tried another machine 2600Pro and the software can be used to switch on the spindle manually. Is this a problem with the sensors or the motor? The switch on the head is ON.

Thanks

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Some suggestions from our service team:

Has the spindle pot been turned up to set a speed?
Does the guard lock activate when spindle turned on?
FS2 on the pcb is the fuse to check.
Also, does the spindle relay RL2 pull in when spindle on button is pressed?

Hi,
No one has switched the Spindle motor off with the swicth on the motor itself have they ?

The carbon brushes in this motor are consumables, are they worn out ?

Here is the schematic and overview of spindle circuit.

The Fuse is FS2 and i think it should be a 10A F rated fuse.
