setting up an unused Denford Nova Mill

Post by Chris Gill » Wed 10 Sep , 2008 9:37 am

1. Arriving at my new school in Hong Kong there is a Denford Nova that hasnt been used much at all. Set up by Rieckermanns the agents out here.
I have re-connected it using the USB device to the PC .
On finding new hardware it requests a password for;
-0216DTxp\ administrator

No one knows the password. Do you have a fix to enable me to reset it?

2.Secondly the version of VR CNC Milling installed demonstrates a microrouter; we have a Nova Mill is this common? Or do I need to get a Nova Mill dedicated version of VR Milling.

3. We have a single version of VR Milling how much is a site license?

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the Forum!

The first problem is an admin problem with the PC stopping you loading the driver. You need your system administrator to resolve this.

The driver is located within the USB directory of the VR milling CD.

You can download the current versions from the website.

The second problem is simple. When you install the software you are asked to select the correct machine type. The Microrouter is the first in the list. It is simple to change the machine type and to work out exactly what you have check the plack machine label.

I assume you have VR Milling 2? You may wish to consider upgrading to VR milling 5. Follow the link to see why.

If so the way to change the machine type is to select Setup option on the top menu bar. Then select the Machine parameters option.

You will be asked for a password which is "denny"

You then have a list of all the machines and can right click on the NovaMill and then set as active.

With Regard to the Site Licence I think you will have to contact the local agent.

I attach the contact details I have.
