We have a Denford MicroRouter Pro (which is marked NS on the machine's information plate) and wondered if a patch file was available to enable V1.0 of 2D Design to match the MircroRouter Pro's working area.
The 'Denford Extension' we have only lists the MicroRouter, which is a different beast, I understand. The machine won't run with VR V5 because it generates errors when we have tried using it before. It's still RS-232 and not USB.
If, for example, we exported a DXF from 2D Design into VR V5, using the DXF support, then setup the machining profile exactly how we wanted it - then posted this file into the File Editor and then saved this file as a .FNC, would this file also work with VR V2.3? This is the version we're currently using on the MicroRouter Pro. We use VR V5 with a USB upgraded Novamill.

- Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then. - Location: Sunny Brighouse

You could use V5 to create an .fnc file, and it would work with V2
You should be able to use V5 to control the machine by selecting Microrouter Pro - it will still connect via rs232 (make sure your V5 is up to date though)
You could update the settings for the Techsoft output yourself:
Have a look at these files (using windows notepad.exe) and it should be pretty obvious what you need to do....
C:\Denford\MachData.ini
C:\Denford\Config\fanucm.ini
