Circular interpolation in the z plane

Post by Jessgonz » Fri 31 Mar , 2006 15:41 pm

We are trying circular interpolation in the z plane. We have programmed using G19 and it works in the software. Also we tried programming by using cirular int. and z values. Both of the look good in the program but when we run on the TRIAC mill it won't do it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jess

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

I'm pretty sure G18 and G19 only works fully on the latest control cards which are the NextMove ST (with the green seven segment displays) along with VR Milling V5.
You could try setting the expand Arcs to Lines option in parameters in VR Milling v5.xx this will break arcs and helicals into lots of small linears.

Also, make sure you have the latest version from our website www.denford.co.uk - Technical Support page

Seem to think there was something in Version 2 VR Milling as well.
