please help

i have done a search and came up empty i have a 1988 triac i bought it and the main board was shot so i found a guy with one bought it now the machine will power up and the drive come on but when i go to datum the machine it says that z exceeds its limits ,so i started swapping driver boards to see if the problem would move to another axis and it always say z is the problem . i found the z board and after talking with a guy that has one he does not think the jumpers or the dips are right on any of the boards could someone please help me with these settings , also the main board i got from him has dips on the board as did the old one but those dont match either so i could use them as well

Is it a Triac PNC3 control?

If it is try the "T Test"

Power up the control & press the button marked "T".
This allows you to look at input status.
At the bottom it displays any overtravels that are active.
It may be that your "Z+" overtravel switch is pressed in.

yes i have that controller i need the dip switch setting for the drive cards and the mother board i have checked all the contacts and the limit switches nothing is working

oh i forgot it shows both limit switches z+ and z- are pressed but neither of them are

It has lots of info on diagnosing problems and where to look for fixing them on a PNC controlled Triac

ok last night i took to y axis +&- and put them on the z axis +&- z moved fine and y had the exceeds limits so i tested the limit switches and they are fine now i think maybe the wiring? do you know of anything else it could be
