Post by boots » Tue 22 Apr , 2008 20:51 pm

New Micromill Jan 2008
VR Milling v2.31

When trying to connect to the machine, "Error in checksum" error window pops up.
Control card LED Display is orange with a flashing "E" and a solid dot.

Checked machine with East Upgrader
Firmware 5403
FPGA 17
CPLD 3
Comms 10
"CPLD needs Updating" window pops up.

Current
Firmware 5331
FPGA 17
CPLD 4
Comms 3

How do I upgrade the CPLD?

Machine has to run on v2.31 to match curriculum.

Machine works fine on v5.23

"Uninstalled" Easy Upgrader and Re-installed from v5.23 disk.
Easy Upgrader updated the CPLD: (actually current settings)
Firmware 5403
FPGA 17
CPLD 3
Comms 10
Node 2

"Uninstalled" V.2.31 and re-installed.
Turned computer off and machine off for a few minutes before starting them up again.

The "Error in checksum" pops up and the LED Display still shows a flashing "E" with a solid dot.

Any suggestions?
