VR Milling Ver 5 Upgrade

Post by bl75vette » Thu 13 Mar , 2008 0:31 am

I have a Triac PC Mill MFG 1996. Denford provided a quote to install the upgrade, but I would have to ship the main control box to them to perform the install. Has anyone installed the board upgrade themselves? I have a tech department and I am capable of removing a board and plugging in a new one. Is there more to it than that?

Triac PC - 1996

If you have the EUROSTEP Iss 4 control card AND your machine is in good working order to begin with, you will need various parts (Nexstep Rack Board, USB cables, Bulkhead fitting/cover) and the Control Software v.5** You would need to drill a 27mm dia hole in the electrical box and fit the USB Bulk head fitting which is a screw fit, Slot the card in the rack and connect internal and external USB cables . Note that Triac MUST be working in the first place or else you could run into problems i.e. with fitting new parts and additional problem solving. If you attempt the upgrade on your own, there is no support in walking you through what needs to be done and there would be service charges / additional parts required for Denford to come out and attempt to get your machine working. You will need to contact Denford in USA for a proper quote on parts and labor --- sales@denford.com
