I have been watching the rocking chair video on denfords site. Does any one know what software was used to initially draw the parts as I want to produce some thing similar but ProDesk top etc make the router machine the surface all I want to do is cut out a shape

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

I think it was originally done in prodesktop - that way you can see it "assembled" and make sure the slots all fit !

If you have QuickCAM pro, you can use the more advanced machining plans to create toolpaths around the shape edges only (eg waterline / pencil milling)

If you have VR Milling 5, you can create DXF files from proD or Solidworks, and open them directly in VR Milling- this will then let you create offset toolpaths via the DXF / CAM wizard
