There are lots of different types of Triac.

Can you post the serial number and some pictures it should help us identify.

i will get pics and the ser. number later today but i put some power to it and the machine spindle goes real slow in rev without me doing anything i have to leave the emerg.stop button out in the run position then turn om the power the monitors do nothing the small one has a black wire and a spring that is just laying on the bottom of the case. that screen foes nothing at all , the other monitor show green lines buut thats it i cant read anything ,the spindle goes really slow in rev. and none of the axis will move and you can not stop the spindle with any buttons.i had a dyna mill that i could hook a tv up to using the video in rca jack will that work with this as well sounds like the board is crapped out i hope thats all that is wrong with this

Hi,

The electronics you have are made by North East Electronics. Unfortunatley they are very old and now unsupported. Several people on the forum have replaced these and fitted Mach 3. There are several threads telling you how to do this.

Someone else may have some other suggestions though :?:

well i found a guy that will sell me a new mother board for 100.00 us money do you think this will fix the problem? i would not mind converting the system over to use the mach 3 but i have no idea what to buy or how to do it i did try and replace the resisters that were burnt out but it did not help and im not 100% sure i got the right ones in there but i figured it could'nt hurt to do it it doesnt work now .not sure why i have no video through the spring with the black wire sodered to it might be whats wrong but i dont know where that goes
let me know if you can help out on these new questions thanks alot for your time

Did you end up sorting out the resistors? As I have just come into possession of what looks the exact same board and have a look andncheck if you want?

Unless you can replace a couple of components and get it working quickly, I think you are best retrofitting Mach3 like others are doing:

You could end up spending a lot of time and money on something that isn't that great anyway (small memory / slow / loosing position / 2D only contouring etc...)

I was (I hope) referring to a machine made in the 80's - when paper tape and ZX81's were the height of technology :D
