i am in a high school environment.
i found a mircorouter in the closet and i'm trying to get it started.
i'm having trouble installing the vr milling package i downloaded from the internet (v2.31). i get an error message that the 16 bit program cannot install because it cannot find the windmill\setup.exe file. i checked and the file is in the place it is expected to be. i'm using windows XP on a pentium 1.8 GHz processor with 1 Gb of ram. i have the regisration software.
(if you saw this before elsewhere, that was me. i posted in the wrong forum a few days ago.)

Re: installing vr milling v2
I've a feeling it could be related to older versions of XP - can you upgrade it to service pack SP3 and try again ?

i am using sp3. could it be that it will not install with xp (i.e. needs 95/98)?

Re: installing vr milling v2
No it's fine on XP.
It's a 32 bit setup so I don't know why it's complaining about a 16 bit program ?
Try googling the exact error message - I remember having some issues with a 16-bit subsytem error message and think that was related to some other software which had been installed (maybe a virus checker?)

Re: installing vr milling v2
google did it!
it was an issue with the file folder name: i called it vr milling and it should have been vrmilling (without a space).
thanks!
