Aluminum Machining with the Router 2600 PRO

VR Milling v5
QuickCAM 2D Design

Here are photos of the Router 2600 Pro machining aluminum.

The cutter is a Niagara #85352 Solid Carbide – TiALN Coating
2-flute – SE – Center Cut – 30 degree Helix.
List #C230
The 30 degree helix cutter leaves a very sharp clean edge.

The best cut and finish was achieved with a feed rate of 8 IPM (inches per minute) and a Step down of 15% at a spindle speed of 18.000rpm.
