Hi,
I used a 1/2" carbide counter top cutter that was 2" long for all the roughing then finished with an extra long 1/4" ball nose cutter.

Hi
Having lots of fun trying to make a guitar
but what do you think an appropriate feed for the 1/2" two flute cutter should be cutting through hardwood & MDF?
Also how long did it take for your guitar to be machined?

Hi.
I cut the Guitar out of Sepilia a brazillian hardwood. With the big cutter you can hog out the material. I was cutting 10-12 mm deep in one pass at about 3M / Min.
Typically you can cut a depth = to the cutter width in one pass in Hardwood. With MDF you may want to cut about 75% of the cutter width.
post some photos when you are done
It took about 30 mins a side to machine.
