I have an ATC that has been modified to work with Mach3 using a stepper motor instead of the original DC motor.
Mechanically it's all there - but came to me without the encoder disk nor the electronics. I needed an ATC for a job so converted it (sympathetically) to a stepper motor.
There is a bit of video of it operating here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 1SzpGjksZ4
It would be pretty simple to convert back to original - I have at least one of the little DC motors that drive them that I'll include.
If you want it for Mach3, I'll include the driver macros that were written for it to intercept a toolchange call T<Tool Number> and move the ATC accordingly. You will need a stepper driver such as a Gecko to make this work.
Open to offers. I can courier it anywhere in the UK for £10 and world wide at cost.
Reason for sale?
I'm planning to build a turret which rotates around what would be the Y axis (this rotates around Z) which gives a bit more space to make it a lot more chunky. I plan to build powered tooling on one station using a nice little 2.5Hp 24v DC motor about the size of a coke can! It will give me 0 to 6000rpm with 20Nm Stall torque - which should be sufficient.

A couple of photos:

Note that although it is supplied with the original lead to plug in to the cross slide, the wiring is not compatible with the original. Don't plug it in unless you have modified the other end of the wiring. On mine, it just came out as a 15 way D connector on the back (top left) corner of the Lathe.
