Hi,
One of our design workshops has a Denford Novaturn Desk-Top Tutor (not been used for a few years) that we are considering selling. I'm just trying to establish an approx value at this stage and whether this sort of thing has a market or not.
Thanks in advance
Paul

I have seen them sell from between £200 and £1500 depending on what the control is. If you post up a pic of the insides of the back box and the the label on it it would help. All depends who is in the market and where you are.

Hi yes, given the age on the plate and the fact you still have the desktop tutor keyboard it looks like it will be a DOS based control rather than the VR Turning windows based software. A lot of machines had the control boards updated to run on VR Turning so getting a look inside the box would prove one way or another.
It is worth money either way but would be best to see which control card it has and if you have the software to go with it.
If it is DOS then it is possible to download the software for free from Denford, if it is Windows/VR Turning then it is costly to buy the software unless it is included in the sale (I have seen router machines on ebay listed buy it now for £1500 not sell BUT a machine with all the software listed at the same time sell for over £2000).
If I were to list it on Ebay I would include as much info as possible about what the machine is, pics of the insides of the control box etc. too. Starting at £450 for the machine as it stands which ever control it has BUT if it has the later control and VR Turning included start at £600.
Direct sales as is I would take £800, including VR Turning £1100.
If you have an old PC heading that you could load up and prove it all working, include it in the sale tag another £150-£200, video on youtube of it running and linked to your listing.
At the end of the day it is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Hello Paul, did you ever decide on what to do with your NovaTurn?
I am still interested in the Turret and would like to purchase it.
Thanks,
Iron-Man
