Hi, Does anyone know where I can purchase both of the nylon gears thats fitted inside the head stock box, which is for high/low speed change over, I think this unit has a common fault with at least one of these items shearing off all the teeth, but the other one has a few chips missing in the teeth?
Also has anyone got any detailed drawings that show whats in the screw speed feed/thread change over gear box, as I think that some of the gears might have failed as it doesnt seem to want to do much?
Unfortunatley I purchased this unit without carrying out a back ground check to see if it was still supported, which I have been told its not, if parts are too costly then I will scrap the unit.

I take it the gear which is stripped is the one to the rear which slides, and the front one is the one which has teeth chipped?
In your gearbox there is a gear on a small key. The most likely cause for the feeds not working is that this key is sheared. It's a pig to get at, but it's doable.

Hi Pete, Yes it is the rear gear thats lost the teeth at the point were it engages both high low gears on the same shaft.Pete. wrote:I take it the gear which is stripped is the one to the rear which slides, and the front one is the one which has teeth chipped?

If I can get new gears, will look at taking the other box apart, thanks for the advice
Cheers Ken

The drawing for the sliding 65-tooth gear is already posted, but for the one with chipped teeth we need drawing BVS100-108.

Here is what the end cluster of the gearchange looks like within the cabinet, for your reference. Your should be identical (except of course for the motor and pulleys).
