Quick CAM 2D Design

Post by arossner » Tue 19 Dec , 2006 17:09 pm

Does anyone know how to alter the Datum? I have a part that I would like to run and have the Datum location right in the Top Center of the billet. How do I reset the Datum to this new location? :)

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

The easiest way is to design around the bottom left corner of the page, which is the fixed 0,0 Datum postition.

Although the toolpath will go outside the 'page', it dosn't matter, they will still be created in the CAM wizard.

A picture paints a thousand words .....

Datum position is always here, so place your design around it.
