We have been improving the image editing and image contouring in QuickCAM and LaserCAM.
To test it out, we made some lego skeleton men from a small jpg image...

The new contrast / brightness / invert image features come in very handy when lasering or cutting out images - it makes it easier to adjust the image so that only the bit you are interested in remains.

Hi, that looks really good.

One of the schools I Technician at has just got a LASER cutter and I was wondering if you could describe the process for the above in a bit more detail, as I'd really like to do something like that for the students doing their GCSE's. I've only had a half day intro on the laser cutter and a few hours actually using it to cut out simple shapes and letters/numbers.

thanks,
Ian.

well I gave it a try, and it worked out ok on a couple of tests. :D

Time to see if any of the students can use it for any of their projects.

I guess the more time you spend tidying up the contour the
better the results.

Thanks again,

Ian.
