The Password is "dennymaster" This is covered in the help but early versions of Quick CAM 2D Design may not have a help section.

To set up materials to start with you do this in VR Milling 5.

You go to the SETUP, MATERIALS, EDIT MATERIALS MENU and you can then add your own materials with feeds speeds and depth of cut as a percentage of cutter diameter.

There is a feeds and speeds guide on the new website https://www.denford.ltd.uk/index.php?opt ... &Itemid=51

If you do not have the help in Quick CAM 2D then you must have one of the very early CD's. Download the update from the website:

Also make sure you have the current version of VR Milling 5 (V5.13) as changes to materials have been made. Default materials for routers are loaded as the software is installed where before they were called hard medium and soft.

If you have the latest VR Milling loaded and you select the compact you will have the materials set-up automatically. Then set the tool library to show the actual tools you have.

Quick CAM PRO will read in the tool library provided VR Milling is open before you launch the Quick CAM, but does not have a material library you just set the feed and speed for roughing and finishing. The stepover will default to presets for roughing and finishing.

Quick CAM 2D Design.

First make sure you have the correct machine selected from Options Select machine.

Then open VR Milling and check you have the correct materials and tools present.

Then in Quick CAM 2D go to OPTIONS, IMPORT TOOLING FROM VR MILLING. You will now have the tooling and materials you had in VR Milling.
