Re: Triac ATC "Tool Changer Error"

Searching the forum I found the info below talking about the dip switched in the rear cabinet. If I understand it correctly when I put switch 8 to ON, the machine powers on in hardware test mode(not sure what it is exactly). Not knowing what else to try I put switch 8 ON and everything else off (the...

Triac ATC "Tool Changer Error"

Hello everyone, I have a 1990 Triac ATC with a bit of an issue that I was hoping someone might be able to give me some troubleshooting ideas on. If the machine has been sitting for a few hours I can power it up, hit the drive on button, datum the machine out and all is good for around 5 to 15 minute...

Still no luck. I rewired the machine so that it is receiving the required 240v and no more. The error still came up. After some digging through the manual I found just what I needed. The "TOOL CHANGER ERROR" is caused normally thru either a low air pressure or from a faulty micro switch. I know that...

The outlet is a 220v outlet. My brother is a Union electrician, and he was the one that was conserned about the high voltage to start with. The way it is hooked up now, is the same setup that it was where I bought it from. If the outlet is a 220/240v outlet, do I still need a transformer box?

I checked and the 3 wired as you described are there with a small plastic washer inbetween the connector and the door. It still lookes to be in good shape. As before the machine worked ok for the first few minutes, the small red LED had a steady flash, about every half second. After the small click ...

Triac ATC "Tool Change Error"

Hi everyone. I have recently gotten a 1990 Triac ATC. It is in beautiful condition and seems to be in very good machanical shape. I am having a problem with it though and was hoping someone could help. When I power it up after it has been sitting for a few hours it starts up and homes out just fine....

Try to find out what type of spindle drive motor you have. I have instruction sheets for a Lenze drive, and also for a Lynx drive. If you have either of them I can post the steps for setting the orientation.

I had a very similar problem with my machine. The spindle was moving too fast when it was trying to orient, so the machine alarms out. If your machine has the same drive motor (mine was a Lenze) there is a way to adjust it. Press the SPINDLE JOG + button until the spindle just starts, you should hea...
