Hi George,
It is normal for the motors to run hot, the axes motors are energised while stationary to hold position and the turret motor is constantly holding the turret disk in position so this is not a problem.
The expanded code says X12430 so this would be a move out of limits.

Re: VMC 1300, adjustment procedure to eliminate play in toolholder collet/spindle/drawbar assembly
Can you remove the pullstud from the tool that does not fit correcly and check that it fits to the taper correctly. You should then see it it fits correctly. The bottom of the drawbar should hit the top of the pullstud as you release the tool. This will help a tool release if stuck on the taper. Tig...

Re: Turn 270M will not home in X
Hi, Do you have a manual toolpost or an 8 station turret?
When selecting the machine type the Turn270PRO should be selected if a turret and Turn270PROM if a manual tool post.
The machine type dictates the direction of travel when homing.

The trim feature is now standard in V2 of QuickCAM.
You still have to explode objects to be able to trim them.

Re: VR Milling V5 X axis in wrong direction
As martin says the files are produces in Quick Cam pro with the back of the car at the left and with the Rotary fixture you have the back of the car on the right. You have to add a mirror in X command to make it cut right to left with the origin on the RH end. If using Car Wizard you can output to t...

Re: Using TRIAC with America voltage 110V 1ph, or 220V 2ph
The machine was probably supplied with a seperate autotrancformer in a box. this would convert the 110V to 230 or 240V.

Using Easy Upgrader the card can be used for any machine and will update any machine running without a USB port.
Replacing a Denstep controller performance would be much improved.

Hi, The machine RS232 cable will be detIle on the forum. I would also check the EPROM version you have in the machine. If the EPROM is for DOS the software can be downloaded for free if the EPROM is for VR Turning you would have to purchase software from Denford. The serial cable for US machines is ...

Hi,
The Turn270PRO will not cut does not have a command for taper thread cutting.
The spindle only runs in reverse.

Re: Including a centre drill hole in the design
The center drill has a 2mm tip but 5mm shank so to be used the hole must be drawn as 5mm.
If you set the depth to 2mm it will only use the start of the centre drill.
It would then use the 5mm drill to drill 2mm deep also unless you dissablesd it in the tool library.
