Re: Denford Nextmove ST USB controller
Using Easy Upgrader the card can be used for any machine and will update any machine running without a USB port.
Replacing a Denstep controller performance would be much improved.

Re: Some software questions
Hi, The machine RS232 cable will be detIle on the forum. I would also check the EPROM version you have in the machine. If the EPROM is for DOS the software can be downloaded for free if the EPROM is for VR Turning you would have to purchase software from Denford. The serial cable for US machines is ...

Hi,
The Turn270PRO will not cut does not have a command for taper thread cutting.
The spindle only runs in reverse.

Re: Including a centre drill hole in the design
The center drill has a 2mm tip but 5mm shank so to be used the hole must be drawn as 5mm.
If you set the depth to 2mm it will only use the start of the centre drill.
It would then use the 5mm drill to drill 2mm deep also unless you dissablesd it in the tool library.

Re: Micromill Spindle Problem
Hi, What spindle speed were you trying to run at? If the speed request was very slow it may not have enough grunt to start rotating. Set the speed to say 1500RPM with the override to 100% and see if there is any difference. It could also be an issue with the spindle analogue. The light dimming would...

Hi, The serial cable you are using does not look to be the correct one. It should be a Black Lindy cable and is not an off the shelf serial cable. The cable should be a BI01812GG https://www.denfordata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=765&p=23012&hilit=serial+rs232#p23012 https://www.denfordata.com/bb/vi...

Re: Cutting left hand threads
I cant see why it would not be possible.
The thread routine would have to cut from the chuck towards the tailstock to keep the spindle direction the same and use the same tool.
Quick Turn 2D writes threading routines this way for LH threads.
