Speed and Feed Pot tick boxes
If your machine has Speed and Feed Pots and you have just reinstalled VR Milling and the pots don't work, the you may have to activate the pots manually.

Before homing any of the axes, you could press and hold in, any of the datum switches and if the switch, wiring and input are OK, then you would get an axis letter with a green border being displayed in the control panel window. (see below)

Can you package up the faulty cartridge, address to to Denford's, leave it in your reception and then we will get a courier to come in and collect it. Ring Denford's and let us know when you have done this please.

Am sure its still a usb / noise fault
It just means USB data corruption
Try plugging your USB cable form the PC directly into the Baldor board, see if this solves the problem

Hi Chris, After 7 years, it sounds as though the laser cartridge is expiring, contact Denfords for replacement costs. Just as an after thought, is the air assist cone partially blocked with debris etc and is it aligned correctly. i.e. so the the laser beam is not hitting the side of the cone? Yes UL...
