Re: Laser firing when head turns on x-axis
What causes the "leak" could the laser be repaired for that. Replacing new laser is not viable. However, to over come this problem what i am doing is creating vertical hairline light black line on both the edges just outside of the material to be engraved. This makes the head move to the extreme end...

Re: Laser firing when head turns on x-axis
Tired that but could see some faint marking on the masking tape. Eliminated the reflection problem as it should be continious and not at the point at which the laser head stops to change direction. Also tried lifting up the door while engraving is in process. This way the laser head reaches to eithe...

Laser firing when head turns on x-axis
I noticed this recently on both VL300 and uls3.5 both 50 watts. When engraving on a shiny gold coated plastic mylar, a faint line appears on the left and right side of the about 3.3cm from the edge of engraving. This is the point at which the head changes direction on the x axis(left to right and ri...

Re: not installing properly
Dear Steve,
The panel is saying VLS 2.3.
Also, i tried installing in another computer and still the same problem. The laser settings are not correct. It means that we have to program the CPU.
Let me know the next procedure.

not installing properly
Hi, I just reformatted my computer and tried installing the vls driver. It keeps detecting that the machine is vls2.3 yet the machine is vls3.5, 5owatts. When i try printing, the panel gives an error " This print job is of type VLS3.50 whereas the current machine type is vls 2.3" " Please print with...

Versalaser VL300 and VLS3.5
I have two versalasers. VL300 and VLS3.5. Both 50watts. Both machines work fine. Why is that VLs3.5 is slower than the vl300 despite using same settings? Is ther a way to try and adjust the speed so that both perform same tasks at same time. We sometimes charge based on laser time to clients and hen...

I have tried. I had even deleted the uls folder after uninstalling. But, all has failed. Are there other users with VL3.5 in the world? Whats their experience.

New problems
The local distributor came with various updates of the drivers. Now, its worse. The machine, while engraving sudenly, the x stops moving. The program detects that its running the job. The y continues to move. The laser continues to burn. On pausing or stopping, the x returns and bangs at the home po...

Hello, The machine was collected yesterday by my supplier; Lasers and Optics who are the agents of ULS in Kenya. They told me that the problem was the software that was installed in the vl machine itself. Awrong software was installed by uls! They have since corrected. I can now cut paper very well....

Still doesn't work
I have tried but still does't work. Comparing with the VL300 50watt that i have, i notice that the speed of the laser "head" is faster when cutting with vl3.5 compared to VL 300 which cuts. Back to my old problem, when cutting the paper the speed is slower compared to vl300! On retesting again on va...

Have tried
Hello, Thanks for quick responses. I have tried reducing the intensity. It does not work. The version is 2.15.19A.
I think its the speed with which the laser is moving. Its slow for paper. Please let me know how i can download the driver. I would apreciate if you would put for me link.

VL3.5 50 watts cutting paper
I have just purchased a VL3.5. The machine, when instructed to cut paper, burns the paper. All the focus etc is correct as i am used to the VL300. We notice that the lense unit moves much slower compared with that of the VL300. I suppose this is the problem. How can this be sorted. Is there any onli...

Ideal value for tuning
I am using the tuning feature of my VL300 50watt machine. The tuning ranges from -10 to +10. Ideally it should be at 0 (zero). Currently, my setting is at +10. At zero, the engraving is not sharp (a mirror image is formed). What i would like to know is what should i do so that i use the setting of z...

image shifting while machine still running
What causes the image to shift from one location to another while the machine is running? You find that halfway while the job is running, the image shifts to right hand side and continues. Sometimes the machine starts banging as the lense does not 'sense' home position.

Carbon filter remaining time
In which file in the computer would the information regarding the above be stored? Or would be in some memory of the VL300 machine or the computerised exhaust system?
