Re: Control Triac via serial port
Perfect! That's what I'm looking for. Do you know if there any other CIM commands other than the ones mentioned (MACHINE FROM, STATUS, etc)? Is there a document, part of a manual, or anything else that goes into this feature?

Re: Control Triac via serial port
I need more than discrete I/O control (even if I wanted to this wouldn't work since all my I/O is tied up with the tool changer and I don't have an additional I/O card in the control). I want to be able to selectively choose (via another computer) what program to run in VR Milling and to remotely (v...

Control Triac via serial port
Is it possible to control a Triac (2000 model) via a serial port? I actually want to have a program other than VR Milling to control the mill. Currently, I have a robot loading and unloading it and would like to run a number of parts not just the same one over and over. If so, can the entire program...

Wiring Triac Auxilary I/O
What is the pin out for the auxillary I/O on the Triac VMC so that I can control other devices via the M-codes? I have the Triac with the tool changer.

Powered chuck for Mirac
I am looking to use a robot to load/unload my Mirac. The only thing preventing this is my Mirac has a three jaw chuck that requires a person to use a key to open and close the chuck.
Does anyone know of a powered chuck that can be put on the Mirac and controlled using an output(s)?

Block skip
I have a subprogram that mills a design in my part. It uses variables that I define in my main program. I want to put block skips on all the lines (tool change, positioning, speeds, feeds, sub program call, etc.) related to cutting this design so I can control which parts will receive the design and...

Current X and Y Position using System Variables
I am writing a subprogram using variables in absolute mode and inches. I am checking where the machine is currently positioned in X and Y using the sytem variables #4101 and #4102. The system variables return values that appear to be metric and also possibly based on machine coordinates. Is there a ...

Panning in 3D
After doing a 3D simulation in VR Turning for my Mirac, I can do everything but pan the image. I can zoom, rotate, slice, measure, but it won't pan. I am using the right mouse button and dragging left/right, but no pan. Any ideas? I know my right mouse button is working correctly since I am using it...
