Spot on Dave :) so i wired up port two pin 16 to another relay to switch on the reverse relay but also had to have a signal wire from breakout board to the spindle go relay the issue i then had was that the sgr was always on, solved this by putting a diode in series from the signal wire that fed bet...

Hi Another silly question The set up of the mach 3 was how I acquired it. HI All the starmill pc I have has been converted to mach 3. I have the ATC working but their is a switch in the carousel when open it is measuring 5v when close 0v. So quick update and some more pics. So all up and working , couple of things I should have changed , I should have got a 12,24v relay rather than 5v as the 5v in the cabinet is not wired up if it is I cant trace it as no voltage when tested . HI Dave Got you :) Apparently the ATC does work, mind you i have not seen it working yet, I am going to get the machine up and working soon as the table turns up and will test it :), I have seen the machine with the 4th axis motor working and the spindle working. HI Dave are you talking about the this picture that shows the circuit board with the two relays that show the HPS4FH-S The chap that converted added the 4 axis which this drives. Thanks yep I'll check those, just waiting for my multimeter to turn up to check power and as David mentioned about relay switching

Added more pictures. from the parallel port pins I can see 2 free pins available took a close up of the pins and annotated, Also based on what you said could i just then connect to SGR terminal also annotated on a picture

Hi I am looking at doing this also, I see by the drawings it has an option for a mist relay, I don't pick my starmill up until Friday so will have a look at the electronics then
