Just seen your post, I would be interested in your extra 4 jaw if you wanted to sell it separately and assuming it would fit my lathe. I have a 1984 280 Synchro with 8 speed imperial gearbox setup.

Thanks for the replies, I suspected the stud gear should be 24 teeth but reassuring to have confirmation. Now I have to find one!

Hello, I have a 1984 Viceroy 280 Synchro with the 8 position imperial gearbox, does anybody have drawings for this lathe? I am trying to determine what size the stud gear should be.

I have recently acquired a 280 Syncro (1984) with the 8 position imperial gearbox but know very little about it. The stud gear is 16T, which seems too small (the quadrant bracket is at the extreme end of the slot and fouls the cabinet door) Looking at the drawings I suspect it should be 24T, can ...
