Can anyone tell me how to set the correct datum points on the novamill, QuickCam 2D Design/VR Milling V5?
Machine keeps coming up with the error exceeds machine limits, any help would be appreciated.

Re: My Novamill won't run
Hi All
I'm at a bit of a halt at the moment i discovered my computer is not recognising my RS232 port and defines it as a parallel port. i'm waiting on a new adaptor to see if that cures the problem failing that i'll have to get hold of an older computer with the RS232 port on the motherboard.

Re: My Novamill won't run
Hi Pete
i was using the 9 pin on the computer they are part off an expansion card dedicated to these two ports, i'll have to spend a while and configure these within the computer it self and then get back to you.
Thanks

Cheers Pete/Steve/DavidB I changed the fuse in the smartstep card and it came to life, the control card now shows the number 8 nice and bright on the 7 segment display. :D I still have the problem of the computer not recognising the machine, i'm not quite sure if it is the cable(s) i'm using. As far...

Re: My Novamill won't run
Hi Steve
I've ordered plenty of new fuses, All the other fuses have the same rating as the one that keeps blowing, Should i replace all those fuses in the relays with the 6.3A fuse or leave them at 80ma?

Re: My Novamill won't run
Hi
No LED's on the controller card and 7 segment display not lit.
There is 21 volts to a number of pins on the board but no signs of life to the mill.
Battery on the control board is OK and all fuses are OK in the complete system.
