I have tried everything I can to copy the files to a floppy, we are doing this via windows XP but the Denford is still only showing 'No system on disc'. not to sure which way to go now, do you all think its about time I starting to retro fit a CS Labs system??

Hi Dave, All fantastic help I mentioned to our IT guys from one of your posts about formatting and IIRC they looked at me as if I had 2 heads! Bless them. Hi all, I have obtained a Triac VMC with ATC I cannot get the onboard computer to go passed displaying 'NO SYSTEM ON DISC' so I think I need to retro fit a new system, looking on this thread it appears most are using the Gecko board to drive the steppers, my mill has servos with Baldor drivers does ...

Hi I tried the ribbon cable the other way round and I had smoke coming from the cable. The display still shows No system on disk.

The green LED on the front of the floppy drive is on all the while the power to the Mill is on.

I have checked the ribbon cable and it doesn't look as if it can be plugged in the wrong way. Any idea's

Yes the light is on from the time I turn the isolator on. I will check the ribbon cable this evening.

Hi yes they made a boot up disc and downloaded the required software onto it. Should the boot disc be separate from the software?

I had our IT department make me up a disc with all the drivers that you recommended, when I load this up the monitor is displaying 'No system on disk'  do you have any ideas what I can do now.

Hi yes I've managed to change that do I need to download .Opt and .goon 1 disc or is there something else i need to download.

I have now soldered in a new battery to the DSP board and now the monitor has come to life I inserted a MS DOS start up floppy in the drive but im still seeing the text in the photo, not sure where to go now. any ideas
