Re: spindle bearing coming loose
The tool is good in the spindle
It’s the spindle body in the casting because the bearings have loosened because the locking adjusting ring loosens if that makes senses

thanks
So with these settings i should be in the ball park?
Regarding the parting tool lifting , does this suggest faulty turret with too much play or to be expected if settings are way out ?
thanks

Re: New Cyclone - need phase converter advice.
So it would be usefull for me to know what the rpm range and pulley ratio were on the original 2.2kw machine Mine is 2.2kw and the spindle will go up to 5000rpm (at least, that's what it says, I have no way to measure, but it looks scary fast!). Pulley ratio looks 1:1 Si this is where i need some c...

Re: New Cyclone - need phase converter advice.
Im in the middle of a cyclone conversion to mach3 ,and would be interested if you could tell me if you know the max rpm of the spindle on your machine. and whether its a 2 pole or 4 pole motor and pulley ratio mine has a 1.5kw motor on it , but i have 2 new 2.2kw motors on the shelf one 2 pole, one ...
Re: max rpm
unfortunately the literature shows 4kw motors motors and no pulley sizes , but i would presume its not a 1:1 ratio to achieve 5000rpm i have seen the cyclone on youtube clearly marked 3700 max rpm so I'm guessing if its 1:1 then that's about 120hz so i need to know max hz to run 4pole 1,5kw 220v 3ph...
