Wanted: PCB Engraver
Hello Does anyone have a PCB Engraver for sale? I recently bought one on Ebay for £800 but then the seller cancelled the order and refunded the money, leaving me without the machine. If anyone has one surplus to requirements, for a reasonable price, (it doesn't have to be £800 which I think was a ba...

Triac spindle with possible faulty bearings? Odd noise (Vid)
Hi Thanks for looking Triac spindle has started making a horrible noise when increasing in speed. It doesn't seem to matter whether the jump in speed is a relatively large one as shown in the video (link below) or a smaller incremental increase. The slowest speed I have noticed it making the noise i...

Thanks Moray. A custom seal sounds worrying. I have contacted a supplier and will report back.

Re: Brauer/Brower unit won't retract and leaks oil. Help pls
Update. I'm going to try and replace the seals in the Brauer unit. Can anyone identify the type of seal/ring shown in the photo? This is the seal that attaches to the top of the plunger. It measures 41mm OD at the flared top, 33mm ID, 9mm wide there is a groove on the inside that measures 3mm wide t...

Re: Brauer/Brower unit won't retract and leaks oil. Help pls
Thanks Martin. So I hooked the ram out and topped up the oil, but when I reconnected it to the Triac Pneumatics it still wouldn't retract. However, when I disconnected the quick connect airline again it shot back up. Any thoughts on what that might mean? Too much oil/not enough, damaged seals? Any f...

Hi Martin
Thanks very much for the reply. Forgive my ignorance but how do you remove the plunger? If I try and turn the socket head cap screw with an allen key the whole plunger rotates in the cylinder.
Do you think 3 in 1 would work?
Thanks

Brauer/Brower unit won't retract and leaks oil. Help pls
Hi I accidentally friction welded the drawbar to the end of the brauer unit plunger by powering up the spindle with the plunger down. They have since been separated however now when the command to activate the cylinder is given the cylinder will extend but not retract. I know the problem is with the...

Re: Member's favourite coolants
Many thanks for taking the time to reply James. I went for Multispec multicut soluble oil from Chronos in the end. So far so good. I will definitely look into your recommendation next time.
Thanks again

Member's favourite coolants
Hi I'm new to the site and new to cnc in general. I have a Triac with an auto flood coolant system and I am mostly machining aluminium at the moment. I was wondering what suitable coolants other members were using as I am having trouble finding Cincinnati Millacron Simcool C60, the coolant reccommen...
