screwcutting
Hello I have been trying out quickturn 2d design and wanted to make a simple stepped part with a M16 thread. The simulation in quickturn works perfectly but when I run the prog on the machine the threading cycle did not cut anything and the tool returns all the way back home in the Z axis between ev...

Triac spindle speed
Hi We have a triac PC which we had upgraded to USB and VR milling 5. It has a problem with spindle speeds, when you start the spindle it wont rotate untill you increase the speed to around 1600, then it starts up and runs at a few hundred rpm, It works fine at high speeds but as soon as you drop the...

Quickcam 3d plunging to full depth
Hi
Im machining a 3d model in alluminium that is 4mm deep
No matter what I set the Max Cut (z) value in the tooling setup it always tries to do the whole 4mm depth in one pass.
using quickcam 3d ver 1.3.0.10
Thanks for any help
Paul

G92 threading cycle
Hi when trying the G92 example from the help files it only does 1 threading pass then just steps in one line at a time for each X value without making a cutting pass. The example looks right so could it be a bug perhaps? Cheers Paul NØØ5Ø GØØ X16.25 Z5.Ø ; NØØ6Ø G92 X15.6 Z-4Ø.Ø F2.Ø ; NØØ7Ø X15.2 ;...

no admin rights / machine selection
Hi
I want to change the machine settings from my router to triac miller. The tutorial shows how you have an option to change machine and log in as administrator to change parameters.. I have none of these choices in my options menu.
Any ideas?
cheers

poor simulation graphics in V5
Hi
In my old version 2.32 the graphics in both 2d and 3d simulation are sharp and clear but when running the same programs in version 5.17 the graphics are very poor and blurred. I am using the same computer with both versions so I dont think it can be a graphics card issue.
Thanks
Paul

Techsoft 2D Engraving
I want to do some engraving of a sundial face which obviously has text around the outside. Millcam designer is too basic for this as it wont allow you to curve the text. You can do it in 2D design then convert them in millcam designer but I find DXF files to be useless, a simple text character done ...
