G'day Has anyone tried to remove the backlash from an 85 era or simular Triac? From the look of it, it has two nuts per lead screw. I guess it may be “simple" shimming to remove the backlash! I am about to update a 1985 vintage Triac with a Gecko system. I'm told the power supply should be between 4 to 25 times the rated motor voltage. From the info I have the motors are 3.1 and 3.5 amp 200steps/rev voltage max 90V.. the Geckos max at 80V ??? Please can someone tell me the motor voltage ...

G'Day Guys. I would like to refit my 85 built Triac mill (Ser# EO 2617/2, ELEC# 087) to run via a pc. Does anyone know the specs for the XYZ stepper motors (voltage, current etc...)?
