Re: Think iv found a cure to my problem with parting off
I'm glad you solved your parting off problem, but am mildly curious regarding the lathe itself. It has a different arrangement for fixing the topslide to any Denford I've seen, and seems to have the half nut lever on the left of the apron, and also has a tee slot in the front wing of the saddle. Is...

Re: Motor and VFD
Hi, Ignore what I said about drilling holes etc !, I didn't notice that you said the shaft was free in the castings. I think you may have to remove the castings from their attachment under the lathe bed. The shaft may be shouldered, with circlips to locate the bearings onto the shaft or pulley. Les...

Les Have been looking at that drawing again and if the shaft is a similar design to that it wont just push out will have to unbolt the cast arms to remove it

Re: Mill/lathe combo? Didn't know they made one.
I email the guy for more photos and yes its a milling attachment. Which looks like a separate motor drive to convert if running 230v
I ask about the fault and the reply is "In terms of not working I understand its the electronics card."

Re: My new viceroy lathe
Thanks Les :D motor mounting2.pdf Hi Steve, Drawing scanned as requested. I was making some Nylon pegs for a Coal Bunker door recently and I had a lot of trouble getting a good finish. Re: My new viceroy lathe
Hi, I found a couple of A3 drawings which show the mounting plate arrangement. I hope they help you, one is from the wood lathe arrangements, but the part numbers appear to be common i.e. "SP***", possibly standard part ? I only have an A4 scanner so I have scanned the relevant bits. By the way, it ...

Re: Viceroy Change gears how many folks are missing them ?
Thanks for that Andy
I have a compound gear (18T / 72T) and an 80T idler gear. but I have found this document (not the clearest copy) that would lead me to believe that's for metric gearing ????
