Hi The TDI I got is off the Mk 1 lathe & I have the Mk2. Does anyone know if there is a difference or modification to the TDI for the Mk 2 T.D.S.1/1. & the Mk1 . Hi dazz I will program the VFD presently, how long did you give the motor to slow down & stop & run up, did you fit a brake to the VFD. What size motor did you fit. Did you first fit a DC motor to the lathe I have a 900w motor 3ph, have you had any prolemes runing at 1800 rpm, my motor is old maybe ...

I got a Thread Dial Indicator & Back Gear Selector Lever off ebay, so my lathe is complete.
Will start the set up this year.

Hi Les Thanks yes i no, but i will get a bigger lathe at some point & i will have my VFD. It is going outside in a garage it will be damp & I do a lot of welding & grinding in the garage. dust/metal fragments & damp are the killers of VFD. 2 or 3 have stated that a IP65 would be the best way to go, ...

Hi Drives direct at Nottingham supply a lot of inverters and I believe they are quite Good to deal.
