I have a Triac PC made in 2002 with easy change tool holders. It is an excellent machine but I find lack of Z height a frequent problem. I swapped the cards and the problem moved to the other axis so I am replacing the driver card.

I was trying the machine again and a new symptom has appeared the spindle is descending of its own accord! No program running and no one near the keyboard. Does this point to a particular failure?
