I have recently remove all ( 0.something backlash) by 'tinning' the threads. It worked better that I expected as backlash before was 0.7!

Hello, I was interested by your post and had a look at my saddle, no anti-lift clamp. I milled one up copying the tailstock locking pad. lucky for me that denford had allready drilled and tapped the saddle ( 3/8 UNC ) used a bolt with 2 spring washers seperated by a washer to give it a bit more spri...

I would like to know if you found an answer to your saddle locking clamp? my saddle has no pins to stop the plate from twisting. I am wanting to make one, however step or no step that is the question. Is there a 506 plan about? as I think 506A is a varient I dont need.

Hello, I am new to this site and I am very impressed with it. I purchased my Lathe about 6 months ago. Model TDS 1.1 G.B.L. Serial M/19904 Lathe.JPG I am very happy with it.
