Hi, I'm looking for an ATC for my Easiturn 3 - It doesn't need to be a Denford one, doesn't even need to work! Just needs to be able to be fitted to the lathe with a bit of adaptation. What have you got?
Thanks,
David

multifix toolholders
Hi,
I've recently bought an Easiturn 3 and it only came with one multifix A type holder. Ideally i would like another couple of turning tool holders ref. AD2075 or AD2090. Anybody got any spares for sale?
Regards,
David

Re: Easiturn3 X axis cross slide miss positioning.
I just fitted a new Nema 34 from Arc Euro Trade and it's a huge improvement. I have to say that when i removed the old motor, i noticed too that the belt was very tight. When the tension was taken off the belt i noticed that the top pulley relaxed in the opposite direction as if it was far too tight...

Re: Easiturn3 X axis cross slide miss positioning.
This does sound the same as the Starturn I'm helping with... Apparently the slide moves freely and the motor spins freely when disconnected - all I can guess is that a bearing somewhere is tightening up when side load is applied ie, by fitting the pulley and belt (The belt did seem very tight to me...

Re: Easiturn3 X axis cross slide miss positioning.
Ok, so an update. Tonight i completely removed the motor from the machine and stripped it down. It is an MAE HY-200-3437-400-A8. The bearings are as good as new and there was no corrosion about it either. After rebuilding it I then turned my attention to the crosslide. Light finger pressure is all t...

Re: Easiturn3 X axis cross slide miss positioning.
Many thanks for the replies guys. I've considered just replacing the motor, however, all the nema34 ones i've seen would need to be sealed somehow and the nema 23 ones would need an adaptor flange. I have the facilities to be able to make something up for either motor but would rather be able to ove...

Re: easiturn 3 chuck location method and size
I just bought an Easiturn 3 and it came with the 125mm 3 jaw chuck fitted. It uses the D1-3 fitting. The kind bloke i bought it from also gave me a D1-4 backplate which he had got when he bought the lathe in case he wanted to fit a bigger chuck. I'm sure you could just get one of these and fit the D...

Re: Easiturn3 X axis cross slide miss positioning.
Thanks Adee. I'm managing to machine stuff the way you managed by removing the G0's. But i'm really looking for a solution which will let me use them again. Since my last post i've stripped my crosslide and checked the screw/ballnuts, the slide for rust/tightness and the motor belt for wear. Everyth...
