Text/ buttons are not shown or pushed out of the window
In some software, for instance the Control Panel in VR Milling, it is possible for some of the text in the window or buttons to be not shown because they are pushed off the borders of the window. For instance: controlpanel.JPG This is because Window's DPI setting will be a value greater than 100 %. ...

Re: Problems using QuickCam Pro on site licence.
Hi. We've tried saving the file to directory paths with full stops in them, and it appears to work. Might there be a permissions issue with the directory? What happens if the file is saved to a common temp folder?

Re: Denford Triac VMC Spindle speed issue
Behind that is the motor and we see the following wires labeled: T1, T2, K1, K2, A1, A2. A1 and A2 are thicker I think you're right, the T1 and T2 wires will be tacho...can you check that they are actually connected back to the drive though...Not all machines use the tacho for motor speed feedback ...

Clear the overtravel message by powering on with PQ and CAN pressed in https://www.denfordata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=2482 The s/w limits are probably in microns so the number you changed from 1000 is 1mm above home position I'm guessing 700= x+ limit 701= y+ limit 702= z+ limit 703 704=x-limit ...

Re: M0 in VR Milling 5
Just tried an M00 on a test-rig setup as a VMC1300 and it worked ok on my v5.54 (no related changes have been made from 5.53) Do you get the red Program Paused status indicator at the bottom of VR Milling5 ? Does it work if you press start straight away ? ie without opening the guard or changing mod...

Re: DENFORD CYCLONE FANUC Spares or repair
S'Ram Back up and the parameters resetting Is it a true Fanuc then ? If so then it'd be a great machine without a retrofit to Mach. It will have a small memory but you shouldn't need that much on a lathe anyway, especially if you get into Cycle and Macro programming. Drip feed is another option as ...

Re: Manual control
There are normally 3 terminals for a potentiometer.
1- supply - to one end of pot
2- command - to centre of pot
3- common/ground/0v - to other side of pot
If you had a two wire analogue output you would only need to connect to pins 2 and 3 in this example

Re: Manual control
F+ and F- will be the field output (for a motor with Field windings that need energising, rather than permanent(fixed) magnet which I believe your SEM motor will be)
Have you got an instruction book for the ASHE drive ? I'm not familiar with it so can't comment on the pot. connections

Re: vr turning not connecting to lathe
Is it RS232 or USB connection to the machine ? Is the machine and PC connected to the same power strip ? Either way it could be an earthing fault which has damaged the port on the machine or the PC - not directly because you are using a power strip to turn off, that should be fine, but the power str...

Re: saving tool offsets, broken e-stop, maintenance
Dry Silicone spray is the best solution for our Routing machines.
However, the Micromill machines are mechanically different, so grease on the screw and oil on the slides is best for them.

Re: microrouter post for mastercam
I think it will be a file which can be plugged in, or somehow added to the MasterCAM installation so that the Microrouter machine will appear as a post-process output option. This file will tell MasterCAM how to create gcode which will run on the Denford machine. There are other post files for Maste...

Re: microrouter post for mastercam
MasterCAM was pretty good. I've only ever seen it used by someone else, but it looked very capable.
Imagine its bit dated and difficult to use by today's standards.
It'll still do all the things you need a Microrouter to do, if you can get to grips with it.
