I have tracked down these people,
www.vectis-systems.co.uk
Who will repair the driver for about £115, hope this may be of some use to anyone needing this kind of repair.

Thanks for all suggestions !
I have this morning swapped the X & Y drivers over & now the Y axis will zero & the X axis not, so it's pointing at a fault in the driver.
Anyone know if the drivers are still obtainable or of a circuit board repair service ??

Cheers, Neal

Denford, I think its a North east computers sourced unit.
Controls very similar to a Newing & Hall PN4E we used to have.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is & what a cure might be?
Many thanks !

Bit catch 22 Matt, all our progs are on tape & unless we can recover them they will all have to be re-written. Also as of yet we have not been successful connecting our Triac to a pc ! :(

Triac cassette part 3

We have now stripped down the cassette unit & think we've found the problem.
There is a white rubber washer on the pinch wheel which has perished, hardened & no longer grips.
The washer is white 24 o/d 17.5 i/d & 1.75 thick.
Anyone got any ideas where such a thing might be obtainable ?
Cheers .

Triac Cassette part 2

I emailed NEE on the subject & got this reply, hope it may be of some use ! We can refurbish your cassette for £195, sorry but that's the only option I can offer as the cassette is very obsolete.
